The John Moore Primary School

In 2019 building work began to create additional classrooms and facilities at the School to accommodate our new intake of 45 pupils per year.

Our modern building offers a wide range of facilities. We have 2 specific Reception classrooms with their own outdoor spaces allowing for independent learning, a further 9 classrooms, a large hall, library, Sparkle hub and mobile music and ICT facilities. We are fortunate to have a large outside space which includes a playing field, trim trail, Forest School area, pond and quiet area.

The school was originally built in two phases, the first in the year 2000 and the second in 2005, on the ‘Wheatpieces’ housing development in Walton Cardiff, on the outskirts of Tewkesbury.

We opened the school to our first intake of approximately 30 children in September 2000 and until 2019 we were a one form entry school of 30 pupils each year.
