Dear Prospective Parent,

Normally, at this time of year we would be opening our doors and inviting you in to see our wonderful school. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic we are limited in what we are able to offer our 2021 Prospective parents.

Gloucestershire County Council and our local headteacher associations have recommended that schools do not hold open days or evenings, as such gatherings could breach national guidance and also compromise the safe systems of infection control that schools have put in place to protect children and staff.

We know that choosing a school for your child is such an important and sometimes difficult decision to make. We are also aware that you need to find out as much as you can about a school before making your choices for school places by 15th January 2021.

We are therefore attaching some links for any prospective parents to give you an opportunity to view a virtual tour of the school. This will include messages from members of staff and a video of pupils sharing their highlights of life at The John Moore Primary. These videos are be accessible via the link below. We have also included a link to show what our lunchtimes are like and a photo gallery of some of the highlights from this past term.

Whilst we are really disappointed to not be able to invite you into the school this year, we hope that our alternative arrangements will allow you to get a good insight into life at The John Moore Primary. As ever, we welcome any questions you may have. Please contact us on 01684 291661 or via admin@johnmoore.gloucs.sch.uk if you have anything that you wish to discuss.

Best wishes

Ruth Laing

Headteacher
